Divided Bricks
Used as a facing surface in masonry elements, in covering floors and in constructing traditional wood fired ovens. They constitute an excellent surface lining due to their high endurance in external weather conditions. In contrast to other solutions, they represent a maintenance-free solution with low to none extra costs during long-time use. Also, their use offers the flexibility to solve various architectural or aethetics problems and the option of constructing many combinations with other materials (cement, iron, wood, glass).
They are produced from pure clay using soft mud method, burned at 1100oC, with none added chemical substances.
Extra usefull information:
- Recommended horizontal joints of 1,5 cm thickness and vertical joints of 1 cm thickness.
- Before production, the raw material (mud) can br mixed with specific dyes for colouring final slips and grated tile pieces or volcanic ash for improving product characteristics.
- Cement's analogy in joint mortar should not exceed 15% by volume.
